Intermediate 2
Classes for children who can swim 25 metres or more over lengths on their fronts demonstrating a basic technique (face in the water and arms continuously clearing the water). They should also be confident on their backs using an overwater arm action. Emphasis is placed on stroke development and the introduction of breathing techniques. Classes are still swum over widths. There is no assistant in the water with classes at this level and above.
