Autumn Term 2010 course information to be posted on this site shortly! (correct as at 29/07/10)

Pool to Pier

Brighton's first and only open water swimming programme, developing competent pool swimmers into confident sea swimmers.

Swimming distances in the sea is different from swimming in a pool; it requires a different set of swimming skills and a knowledge of the sea environment. It's exciting, invigorating and more natural!

"A great course - it's opened up a whole new sport for me"

Charlotte Savins, completed the first ever Pool to Pier programme in 2009

"Swimming around the Pier was a wonderful experience - I don't want to go back to the pool!"

Dr Kate Lancaster, completed the first ever Pool to Pier programme in 2009

Pool to Pier was a huge success in its pilot year, with every single participant completing the challenge of swimming around Brighton's Palace Pier. It is soon to begin its second year, so sign up now and be part of this fantastic opportunity!

Please Note: Participants must be able to swim at least 200metres continuously prior to the course commencing.
