TTL: Swimmer Ability Levels

Non Swimmers

Swimmers who are completely new to swimming or unable to swim without flotation aids (swimmers must be 4 years of age or older)

 

Beginners

Swimmers who are able to swim without floatation aids but only within their depth and still need assistance.

Improvers

Swimmers who can regularly swim 10metres on their fronts and backs unaided and are happy out of their depth.

 

 

Advanced

Swimmers who can swim on their fronts and backs in good technique and are able to swim basic breaststroke. They should be able to repeatedly swim 100 metres or more.
